The role of Product Owner is crucial to support requirement management for ongoing projects, backlog prioritization, stakeholder coordination, and timely product delivery.

Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in IT or Computer Science related field or equivalent degree 
• 3+ years of experience is required as a BA, PO or related role in software development, product management, compliance or operational risk domain.

Job Description

• Understand business problems and elicit business requirements through stakeholder discussions, workshops, research, and requirement-gathering sessions. Document product and business requirements clearly in standardized master requirement documents and ensure they are complete, updated, and accessible to relevant teams.
• Act as the primary Product Owner for a cross-functional Scrum team. Own, manage, prioritize, and continuously refine the product backlog to ensure alignment with product vision, business objectives, stakeholder expectations, and delivery timelines. Ensure the development team’s output remains aligned with the strategic product roadmap.
• Work closely with the Product Manager and leadership team to understand product strategy, roadmap, and business priorities. Translate product goals into epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint-level deliverables. Maintain backlog transparency across teams and stakeholders, ensuring backlog items are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for development sprints.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand business domains, industry trends, government regulations, user behavior, market needs, data availability, and product opportunities. Use research findings to support product decisions, roadmap planning, and product enhancement initiatives.
• Serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders, product leadership, data science teams, and engineering teams. Ensure all parties have a shared understanding of product vision, requirements, priorities, delivery progress, risks, and dependencies.
• Analyze and define data-related product requirements such as data sources, data availability, data quality expectations, business rules, analytics use cases, data flows, and source-to-target mappings. Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Engineering teams to ensure data requirements are clear, complete, and technically feasible.
• Review developed features, test cases, and UAT results to ensure the product meets defined requirements, acceptance criteria, and quality expectations. Gather feedback and enhancement needs to support continuous product improvement.

Required Skills

• The PO must have data wrangling and munging skills by using SQL, R, or Python tools to Build and Validate Client use case before Going to Development, Advance Excel based Data analytics would be Plus points.
• Must have good communication and documentation skills ie: office packages
• Must have strong command on basic business statistics techniques, must be acquainted with basic machine learning and data science concepts
• Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Trello, or similar tools for backlog, sprint, and requirement management.
• Basic understanding of analytics platforms, data warehouses, data marts, business intelligence.
