The Business Analyst will serve as a key link between business objectives and technical solutions within the travel domain. This role is responsible for requirement gathering, documentation, data analysis, product testing, and market research to support the development and enhancement of travel-related platforms.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 to 4 years of professional experience in a similar business analysis role, preferably in the travel or online booking industry.
Job Description
- Conduct requirement analysis sessions with stakeholders to gather business needs.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation including Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), user stories, workflows, and API documentation.
- Analyze online travel agency (OTA) trends, airfare structures, competitive offers, and technology implementations across the industry.
- Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate features and ensure high product quality before release.
- Track agent performance, booking trends, and identify issues related to payment failures and user drop-offs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, QA, and business leads for timely project execution.
- Continuously improve processes and solutions based on feedback, performance metrics, and user behavior data.
Required Skills
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of Global Distribution Systems (GDS) like Sabre, Amadeus, or similar.
- Proficient in data analysis, dashboarding, and reporting using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.
- Hands-on experience with requirement documentation including BRD, FSD, user stories, and workflows.
- Familiarity with API integration flows, bug tracking, and enhancement documentation.
- Good understanding of payment gateways, settlement systems, and transaction reconciliation.
