eSewa Travels & Tours is looking for a skilled Backend Developer to build and maintain robust, scalable, and secure server-side systems that power our travel booking platforms, mobile applications, and internal tools. You will work closely with frontend and mobile developers to deliver seamless digital experiences for travelers and operations teams.

Qualification and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience in backend development

Job Description

Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs
Build scalable systems for tour booking, payments, user management, and content management
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices
Ensure high performance, reliability, and security of backend systems
Integrate third-party services such as payment gateways, maps, CRM, and notification systems
Optimize databases, queries, and application performance
Implement authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms
Collaborate with frontend, mobile, product, and QA teams
Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions
Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis
Maintain technical documentation
Stay updated with backend technologies and industry best practices

Required Skills

Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages: Node.js, Java, Python, or PHP
Experience with backend frameworks (Express, Spring Boot, Django, Laravel, etc.)
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and system design
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
Hands-on experience with Git and version control workflows
Knowledge of authentication protocols (JWT, OAuth)
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines is a plus
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
