We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic DevOps Intern to join our technology team. This internship is designed for individuals who are eager to learn modern DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure, automation, and system reliability. The intern will work closely with DevOps, SRE, Developers, QA, Network, and Security teams to support application deployment, monitoring, automation, and infrastructure operations while gaining hands-on experience with real-world systems.

Qualification and Experience

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic academic or practical exposure to Linux/Unix systems.
• Internship, academic projects, labs, or personal projects related to DevOps, cloud, or system administration will be an added advantage.
• Fresh graduates with strong learning intent are encouraged to apply.

Job Description

• Learn and assist with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Support version control workflows using Git (branching strategies, commits, pull requests).
• Assist in writing and maintaining automation scripts using Bash and/or Python.
• Learn and support configuration management and automation using Ansible.
• Gain hands-on exposure to containerization using Docker.
• Assist with Kubernetes operations including pod monitoring, log inspection, and resource utilization checks.
• Support application and infrastructure monitoring using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Help create and maintain monitoring dashboards and alerts for system and application health.
• Assist in analyzing performance issues, incidents, and anomalies, and contribute to basic RCA documentation.
• Gain exposure to networking fundamentals including DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, and load balancers (Nginx/HAProxy).
• Assist in managing SSL/TLS certificates, secrets, and basic security configurations.
• Follow security, compliance, and operational best practices in daily activities.
• Support cloud or virtualized environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, VMware, or private cloud).
• Assist in log management and analysis using centralized logging platforms (ELK/OpenSearch).
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.
• Participate in on-call shadowing, incident response drills, and learning sessions.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and demonstrate strong teamwork and communication.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

• Basic understanding of Linux fundamentals and command-line operations.
• Fundamental knowledge of Git and version control concepts.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and software development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with scripting (Bash and/or Python).
• Basic knowledge of Docker and container concepts.
• Introductory understanding of Kubernetes concepts (pods, services, deployments).
• Awareness of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK – basic level).
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and web protocols.
• Awareness of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) is a plus
