The Business Development Officer will be responsible for expanding eSewa’s presence in international markets, with a focus on increasing remittance inflows, strengthening brand visibility, and building strategic partnerships

Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

• 3+ years of experience in business development, remittance services, fintech, or international market expansion.

Job Description

• Oversee the registration process for eSewa in foreign markets, ensuring compliance with local regulatory and financial requirements.

• Research and analyze target markets (GCC, Australia, US, etc.) to identify expansion opportunities.

• Develop and implement strategies to increase remittance inflows into eSewa wallets.

• Enhance customer experience by streamlining remittance processes and addressing user pain points.

• Collaborate with event organizers in key remittance-sending countries (GCC, Australia, US, etc.) to promote eSewa’s services.

• Plan and execute targeted marketing campaigns to engage Nepali expatriates and encourage remittance through eSewa

• Establish and maintain partnerships with remittance service providers, banks, and financial institutions in diaspora-heavy regions.

• Negotiate agreements to facilitate seamless fund transfers to eSewa wallets.

• Track and analyze remittance trends, campaign performance, and customer feedback.

• Prepare reports on business growth, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

• Strong understanding of cross-border payment regulations and compliance.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

• Experience in digital marketing, partnerships, and customer engagement strategies.

• Ability to analyze market trends and develop data-driven strategies
