Data QA Engineer

The main goal of a Data QA Engineer is to prevent defects. Quality Control specialists, in their turn, analyze the test results and find mistakes. They are responsible for identifying and eliminating defects in a product (or, in other words, these engineers make sure that developers get the results they expect).

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or B.E. in Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Three years of expertise in quality assurance and team mentorship.

Job Description

  • Analyze and clarify requirements with a customer or a business analyst and provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Develop, document, and maintain manual/automated test scripts, test cases, defect tracking, and reports.
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • Maintain the test documentation and sign-off documents.
  • Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience.
  • Communicating with Quality Control about existing defects and how to prevent them in future products.

Required Skills

  • Solid knowledge of SQL, Procedural, Shell, and Python scripting.
  • Good exposure to data ingestion, ETL/ELT process, data validation, and testing.
  • Ability to work under tight time constraints with dynamic requirements.
  • Experience in automation test frameworks: Robot framework, Postman, selenium, and others.
  • Be excited about automation and building tools to help do your job and assist the rest of the team.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools.
  • Knowledge of Project management and Bug-tracking tools like Jira.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to pay careful attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of version control tools: GitHub, GitLab.
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
  • Good team player, guiding young quality assurance employees.
