The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and models to support analytics and business intelligence needs. The role involves integrating diverse data sources, optimizing processing frameworks like Hadoop and Spark, and ensuring data quality, governance, and performance. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the Data Engineer will also research emerging technologies and automate workflows for efficient, reliable data operations.

Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in computer engineering and related courses
• 2+ years of hands-on work experience in data engineering roles

Job Description

• Learn and understand fintech term and terminologies.
• Learn and research on data engineering technology stacks like sql , python, hadoop, spark and kafka and Pentaho.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and processing.
• Integrate data from multiple sources such as databases, APIs, streaming services, and third-party tools. 
• Utilize Hadoop, Spark, or similar frameworks for large-scale data processing and analysis. 
• Design and implement efficient data models for analytics and business intelligence reporting.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security by enforcing best practices in data governance. 
• Optimize database queries, indexing, and storage mechanisms to improve system efficiency.
• Automate workflows using tools like Apache Airflow, Prefect, or similar workflow orchestration platforms. 
• Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers while maintaining proper documentation of data processes.

Required Skills

• SQL, Python, Scala, or Java, Spark.
• CI/CD pipelines for data deployment.
• Kafka, Hadoop and bigdata technology stacks.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).
• Apache airflow: Job Automation Tools 
• Programming tools: Java script, python, shell scripting in Linux
