We are looking for a skilled Frontend Engineer with experience in AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 to develop and maintain responsive, interactive, and user-friendly web applications.

The candidate will work closely with backend developers working with Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF) to integrate APIs and deliver seamless application functionality. The role focuses on building frontend interfaces for our food-ordering and restaurant management platform, including customer ordering, merchant dashboards, kitchen order management, and administrative panels.
 

Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Science or related technical discipline.
• Atleast 2-3 years of prior experience with frontend roles in relevant stack.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with Python/Django and Django REST Framework.
• Familiarity with WebSocket and real-time applications.
• Experience building e-commerce, food-ordering, restaurant management, or administrative dashboard interfaces.
• Familiarity with AngularJS-compatible UI libraries or similar CSS frameworks.
• Experience with frontend testing tools such as Jasmine, Karma, or equivalents.
• Basic understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure frontend development.
• Familiarity with Docker-based development and deployment environments.

Job Description

1. Frontend Application Development

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML5, Bootstrap, and CSS3.
• Build reusable components, controllers, services, directives, and filters using AngularJS.
• Develop user interfaces for customer ordering, merchant management, kitchen operations, and administrative dashboards.
• Implement dynamic forms, tables, search, filtering, pagination, and interactive UI elements.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility, responsiveness, accessibility, and a consistent user experience.

2. REST API Integration

• Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs developed using REST Framework.
• Work with backend developers to understand API specifications, request/response formats, and authentication mechanisms.
• Handle HTTP requests, JSON responses, loading states, validation errors, and API failures.
• Integrate APIs for authentication, products, menus, orders, payments, notifications, and reporting.
• Coordinate API changes and troubleshoot frontend-backend integration issues.

3. Real-Time Features

• Implement real-time order tracking, kitchen order updates, and notifications using WebSocket.
• Integrate with Django Channels WebSocket endpoints.
• Handle connection management, reconnection, and real-time UI synchronization.
• Update order status and dashboard information without requiring manual page refreshes.

4. UI/UX Implementation

• Convert UI/UX designs, wireframes, and mockups into functional web interfaces.
• Create reusable layouts, navigation menus, modals, forms, and dashboard components.
• Implement client-side form validation and user-friendly error messages.
• Work with designers and backend developers to ensure consistent application behavior.
• Optimize the user experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

5. Frontend Performance & State Management

• Manage asynchronous operations using AngularJS services and promises.
• Optimize frontend performance and reduce unnecessary API requests.
• Handle application state, data binding, routing, and reusable frontend logic.
• Identify and resolve browser compatibility issues, memory leaks, and UI performance problems.

6. Testing & Code Quality

• Write and maintain frontend unit tests using suitable JavaScript testing tools.
• Test API integrations, UI behavior, forms, and real-time features.
• Debug issues using browser developer tools.
• Follow coding standards and maintain clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with QA engineers to resolve defects.

7. Collaboration & Deployment Support

• Collaborate with Django backend developers, UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams.
• Use Git for version control and collaborative development.
• Support frontend build, configuration, and deployment processes.
• Work with development, staging, and production environments.
• Assist with troubleshooting frontend issues after deployment.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with AngularJS.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap.
• Understanding of AngularJS controllers, services, directives, filters, dependency injection, and data binding.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling JSON data.
• Familiarity with HTTP requests, asynchronous programming, and error handling.
• Understanding of responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Knowledge of Git and version control workflows.
• Familiarity with browser debugging and frontend performance optimization.
