Back-end Engineer will be responsible and play a key part in developing, maintaining and optimizing scalable web application using Python and the Django framework.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Python and DRF development.
Job Description
- Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and secure web applications using Python and Django Rest Framework.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs to integrate with front-end applications and third-party services.
- Write efficient, reusable, and testable code following best practices.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, UI/UX designers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
- Integrate data storage solutions, including relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Python/Django and related technologies.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum processes, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
- Document technical specifications, processes, and system changes for future reference.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
- Proficient in working with relational databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Experience with version control systems, especially Git.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) is a plus.
- Knowledge of deploying applications on cloud platforms like VPS and Cpanel, containerization tools like Docker is advantageous.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
