The role of Data Engineer requires strong expertise in data engineering, data analysis, and complex problem-solving to support business-critical initiatives. The resource will be responsible for maintaining data pipelines, platform stability, data quality, and production support. 

Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in CSIT, Computer Science or related technical discipline
• 3+ years of prior work experience in Data Engineering roles

Job Description

• Development, testing, and optimization of ETL/ELT processes to transform data from multiple sources.
• Create, schedule, and monitor Airflow DAGs, ensuring workflows execute reliably.
• Create reports from processed data, validating results in Application, and ensuring accuracy as per business requirements.
• Assist in developing and maintaining Kafka producers and consumers for real-time data ingestion and processing.
• Maintain technical documentation for pipelines, reports, and dashboards, and continuously learn Spark, Scala, Airflow, and Kafka.
• Build and manage Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, or Lakehouse architectures.
• Work with large-scale datasets (TB+ scale) and distributed processing systems.
• Support analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or AI/ML data platforms.
• Implement Data Quality, Data Governance, and Metadata Management frameworks.
• Lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and conduct code reviews.

Required Skills

• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, Scala, and Java
• Experience with scripting and automation using Python and Shell scripting
• Apache Spark, Hadoop, Apache Kafka, Apache Iceberg 
• Apache Airflow, Change Data Capture (CDC)
• Strong expertise in SQL optimization, data modeling, and database performance tuning.
• Experience with real-time streaming and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with data security, encryption, PII masking, and regulatory compliance requirements.
