Business Development Lead will drive the growth of our travel and tour business. The ideal candidate should have expertise in airline ticketing, travel sales, and strategic partnerships, with a strong understanding of General Sales Agent (GSA) operations and Global Distribution Systems (GDS). 

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Travel & Tourism, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in travel business development, airline sales, or ticketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Prior experience working with airlines as a General Sales Agent (GSA) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo, or any other GDS is a must.

Job Description

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to increase market share and revenue.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and client acquisition strategies.
  • Drive sales performance, achieving revenue targets and expanding the customer base.
  • Lead negotiations and contracts with airlines, hotels, and travel service providers.
  • Establish and manage relationships with airline partners as a General Sales Agent (GSA).
  • Ensure compliance with airline regulations and maintain strong business partnerships.
  • Utilize Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo for airline ticketing and travel bookings.
  • Train and oversee the team to optimize GDS usage and ensure efficient operations.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies.
  • Develop and implement innovative sales and marketing campaigns.
  • Lead, mentor, and train the business development and sales team.
  • Set performance KPIs and ensure the team achieves their sales and growth objectives.
  • Build strong customer relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve customer issues and enhance service quality.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure efficient cost management and profitability.
  • Monitor and report business performance metrics to senior management.
