As a Senior Data Scientist at ExtensoData, you’ll take the lead in delivering advanced analytics projects from concept to production. You’ll design high-performing models for credit risk, fraud detection, and behavioral analytics, and partner with clients to align solutions with business goals. Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience delivering data science solutions end-to-end.

Job Description

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning and statistical models for credit risk, fraud detection, and customer behavior analysis.
• Conduct advanced exploratory data analysis and hypothesis testing to guide modeling strategies.
• Build robust, production-grade feature engineering pipelines and scalable workflows.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of machine learning models, including deployment, monitoring, retraining, and governance.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements, scope analytical approaches, and present insights clearly.
• Mentor junior data scientists, guiding both technical and professional growth.
• Work with engineering teams to deploy, monitor, and optimize models in live environments.
• Introduce and promote best practices in modeling, documentation, and governance.
• Drive data science innovation and contribute to shaping the company’s data strategy.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, tools, and research to enhance project outcomes.

Required Skills

• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and big data tools (PySpark, Hive, HDFS).
• Experience with MLOps practices and deploying production-ready machine learning models.
• Experience in banking or digital payments, with a strong interest in risk and fraud analytics.
• Proven ability to deliver production-ready models that meet performance and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with both technical and business audiences.
• Experience mentoring team members and leading technical initiatives.
