The Business Development Officer will play a key role in expanding eSewa’s market presence and driving business growth in the Butwal region. This position focuses on developing strategic partnerships, strengthening agent and merchant networks, and executing market expansion initiatives across eSewa’s digital services portfolio. The role requires a proactive professional with strong field execution capability, market intelligence skills, and a results-oriented approach to achieving growth targets while upholding eSewa’s service and brand standards.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field (Master’s running preferred).
- 4–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or market expansion roles, preferably in fintech, digital services, telecom, FMCG, or banking sectors.
Job Description
Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify, onboard, and manage strategic partners including agents, merchants, travel agencies, and corporate clients within the assigned region.
- Drive adoption and growth of eSewa services including SIM sales, utility payments (NEA, Khanepani, ISP), travel & bus ticketing, health & insurance, and corporate eSewa solutions.
- Develop and execute localized business development plans aligned with company growth objectives.
Partner & Agent Management
- Coordinate agent onboarding, training, performance monitoring, and relationship management.
- Ensure service quality, compliance, and operational efficiency across agent and partner networks.
- Act as the primary point of contact for partners, ensuring timely issue resolution and continuous engagement.
Sales & Field Operations
- Achieve assigned sales and growth targets through structured market visits, partner engagement, and promotional activities.
- Mobilize and supervise field staff to ensure effective execution of sales and outreach initiatives.
- Monitor market performance and recommend corrective actions to improve productivity and results.
Branding & Market Visibility
- Implement regional branding initiatives including placement of marketing materials, local campaigns, and event activations.
- Ensure consistent brand representation across all customer and partner touchpoints in the region.
- Support market awareness initiatives to strengthen eSewa’s positioning as a preferred digital payment solution.
Reporting & Market Intelligence
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, partner activities, market trends, and competitor movements.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to partners, agents, branding activities, and field operations.
- Provide actionable market insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
